To think it was more than a year ago that I met Sarah is crazy! Actually, I met her amazing parents first.

You see, Sarah and Greg live in Scotland, but were planning a big, beautiful Canadian wedding in Bobcaygeon at Sarah’s parent’s house. I was so fortunate enough to have been recommended to Sarah’s Mom and it all went from there!

Sarah and I emailed back and forth. Like novels. But it was always so very exciting to get these emails! Like having a pen pal you can’t wait to hear back from! Learning all about each other and our daily adventures, it was clear to me that we were meant to meet! We just clicked!

And I cannot stress how important this is when choosing a wedding photographer, or vise versa- a client! You’re spending the whole day together, so it’s important you vibe well together!

By the time Sarah and Greg flew in for Christmas holidays, it was like we were old friends. We spent a chill afternoon at the wonderful Birch Cove Campgrounds to take our engagement photos. The weather was on point, the location was so very Canadian, and the company was brilliant. You can have a look at those photographs here!

Most of the guests for the Cannie wedding flew in from Scotland or Dubai. They we’re all incredible humans, and I tried to say hi to as many as possible. I must also comment here on how amazing everyone was dressed! Like, Sarah do you only know models???? Holy cow! The weather may have been hot and humid, but everyone was there for one reason; to see the lovebirds marry each other in the most beautiful and intimate setting.

Marrying your best friend in the family garden just off of the water with your closest family and friends… That already sounds like the best day ever.
